Nick Falco is a
1999 graduate of Elmhurst College with a Bachelor of Arts
degree in music education. He has been a winner of the Italian
Cultural Center's Vocal Music Scholarship and an awarded
participant in the Bel Canto Scholarship Competition. In
the summer of 2000, Nick studied and performed opera at
Dante's Centro Studi Italiani in Urbania, Italy. He also
taught music workshops in Jamaica during college and has
recorded some local jingles for radio advertisements. Nick
works as a private pianist in the Chicagoland area.
Also experienced
in musical theatre, Nick had roles in Godspell,
Assassins, Guys & Dolls, Damn
Yankees, Grease, The Coconuts, Pippin,
and Anything Goes during his educational years
as well as the straight plays of Les Miserables,
The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, and The
Cenci. Nick has been a member of the a cappella group
Out Of The Blue, the cover band Group Dynamic, The Grant
Park Symphony Chorus, and has performed solo for Mayor Richard
Daley. Nick has also performed in Walt Disney World, Carnegie
Hall, and recently in Chicago's Auditorium Theater in a
special concert of "The Lord of the Rings Symphony"
for composer Howard Shore.
He is currently
busy teaching private voice at John Hersey High School,
Elk Grove High School and Wheeling High School in Twp. High
School District No. 214. In the evenings, his time is spent
singing with An Octave Above, The Chicago Symphony Chorus,
and the 24-voice ensemble, The Chicago Symphony Singers.
